A late 18th/early 19th century Chinese coromandel lacquer and bronze mounted cabinet on a later stand
The top decorated with vases and furniture, the front and sides with parcel gilt decoration depicting stylised garden pavilions with figures within trellis and roundel borders punctuated by panels of flowers and roundels alternating with cloud devices, the sides with carrying handles, the rear panel with calligraphy, the gilt single shelf interior with dragon and bird roundels together with a rural scene to the back panels, on a panelled and scrolling base and blind-fret carved chamfered square legs, some refreshing to the decoration, with inscription to Emperor Wanli on the reverse, 86cm wide, 60cm deep, 149cm high (33.5" wide, 23.5" deep, 58.5" high).
