Footnotes

  • Joyce Rosemary Himsworth (1905-1990) was the secretary of the Sheffield Artcrafts Guild for ten years. Himsworth was an accomplished designer of highly prized and often unique pieces of plate, jewellery and enameled work. Beaumont was elected a member of the Guild in 1933 and gave a lecture on lino-cutting techniques the following year before briefly becoming Master of the Guild in 1936. This folio of prints was a presentation gift to her from Beaumont for her services to the Guild.
