  • This semi-abstract composition features two soldiers holding tin hats in the foreground with heavy artillery firing in the background and eludes to the senseless slaughter of soldiers during The Great War. This work particularly impressed Campbell Dodgson, Principal Keeper of Prints at The British Museum who acquired a copy for his own private collection.
