A collection of upwards of 450 press photographs depicting all aspects of the War, including battlefields, aftermath of fighting, prisoners of war, hospital wards, troop entertainments, official occasions, activities on the home front, etc., covering in particular the Western Front, and the campaign in Serbia, Salonica and Mesopotamia, most stamped with photography agent details ("Central News", "L.N.A. Photo", "Newspaper Illustrated Ltd", "French Official Photographers", etc.) with captions pasted on verso, most approximately 200 x 250mm., [c.1914-1916]
