Ship's Licence, bearing a fine bold signature of the King at head ("George R"), addressed to 'all Commanders of Our Ships of War, and Privateers', allowing four neutral vessels to proceed unhindered "from any Port of France (tho' the same may be blockaded)", delivering to "London Merchants" goods (of which the printed form provides a comprehensive list, ranging from 'Madder Roots, Smalts, Shumack, Argol, Galls' to 'Bullion coined or uncoined, Goat, Kid and Lamb Skins' and from 'Spanish Wine, Indigo, Saffron, Verdigrease, Cochineal, Orchella Weed, Cork, Olive Oil' to 'Oak, Oak Plank, Masts and Spars'); counter-signed at the foot by Lord Hawkesbury, the Home Secretary (and, as Earl of Liverpool, future Prime Minister) and bearing the papered Privy Seal, 1 page, printed with manuscript insertions, light offsetting and dust-staining but overall in fine and attractive condition, folio, St James's, 13 March 1807
