Royal Victoria Gallery (British, after 1837-circa 1854)
A full-length silhouette of a Gentleman on horseback, profile to the left, wearing coat, Hessian boots, stock, cravat and tall hat, white chemise and breeches, he carries a riding crop in his right hand and grasps the reins in his left.
Cut-out on card and bronzed heightened with Chinese white, watercolour background, signed on the obverse and dated Frith 184*, gilded composition frame.
