A Lady, seated in a red upholstered chair, wearing mauve dress over white chemise with lace collar, a jeweled brooch at her corsage, two saphire pendants framed by diamonds suspended from a black ribbon choker around her neck, her hair parted beneath a white lace mob cap decorated with mauve and pink flowers.
Gilt-metal frame; together with a further portrait miniature of an elderly gentleman, wearing dark cloak, brown tunic and a gold coin or medal suspended from a gold chain hanging from his neck, gilt-metal frame.
Oval, 105mm (4 1/8in) and 79mm (3 1/8in) high respectively (2)
