A vari gem-set brooch,
later converted with brooch pin fitting, of openwork cartouche design, set with rubies, emeralds, garnets and rose-cut diamonds in closed foil-backed settings, accented with a mabé pearl to the centre and suspending two baroque pearl drops below, (pearls untested), width 4.8cm.
