Depicted standing nude, the mantle draped around his shoulders and falling over the left arm, holding a bag of money in his right hand, wearing the petasos, the wings now missing, 4¼in (11cm) high, mounted


  • Provenance:
    English private collection, inherited circa 1960.
    Collection of Count Umberto Gnoli and Countess Claudine Gnoli, acquired circa 1890-1900, then brought to the UK in 1930. Thence by descent to the present owner.
