A Roman red slip ware plastic head jug
North Africa, circa 300-350 A.D.
The female head modelled in relief with wavy, centrally parted hair tied at the back in a chignon, with full lips and delicate features, the short flaring neck emerging from the top of the head, with ridged strap handle at the back, 7¾in (19.5cm) high
