A Roman marble funerary stele
Circa 2nd Century A.D.
Depicting a reclining male figure on the right holding a cup and a wreath, his veiled wife sitting opposite him, a table of food in front, inscribed with two lines of Greek for 'Thallis, daughter of Pythion, aged seventy years, farewell', the above pediment decorated with a central rosette and two acroteria, supported by two columns, 18¾in x 12½in (47.5cm x 32cm), mounted
