A large Mycenaean pottery stirrup vessel
Late Helladic IIIC, circa 12th-11th Century B.C.
The globular body with a central false-spout, twin strap handles on either side, the flaring cylindrical spout emerging from the shoulder, decorated with concentric bands and vertical strokes, spirals and diamonds at the shoulder, set on a ring foot, 10½in (26.6cm) high
