Three Mycenaean pottery vessels
Circa 1350-1090 B.C.
Including a triple handled alabastron, a pyxis with loop handles, a feeder bottle with spout, 2¾in-5¼in (7cm-12.7cm) high; and four Cypriot pottery vessels, including two white-painted ware jugs, one with eyes, the other with 'fir-tree' decoration, a miniature white-painted ware flask, and a black-on-red ware feeder bottle, circa 950-600 B.C., 3in-5¼in (7.6cm-13.2cm) high (7)


  • Provenance:
    English private collection of an academic, acquired between 1950-1975.

    The Cypriot eye jug and the Mycenaean feeder flask were loaned to 'The Greek Museum', University of Newcastle upon Tyne (Inv. nos. 8 & 6) and are accompanied by collection notes.
