A pair of George III silver sauce tureens
by George Fenwick, Edinburgh 1809
Of shaped rectangular form, on four paw feet with defined legs, the lower body gadrooned, the everted rim with reeded border interspersed with stylised shell and acanthus leaf motif, with angular reeded handles and pomegranate finial, engraved with initial 'M', the lid and body of each with corresponding hammered dots, weight 42.6oz.
