The 2½ inch circular enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, foliate engraved gilt face plate, the triple drive train movement striking on gongs and bells, the base plate with strike/silent lever, contained within a brass case with swing handle and bevelled glass plates, flanked by Doric columns and raised on a plinth base, 10cm wide, 9cm deep, 19cm high (3.5" wide, 3.5" deep, 7" high)
