Bumper Dolphin Constructed from chromium plated car bumpers, dated 1976 approximately 170cm high (66 15/16" high)
Bumper Dolphin is one of two early marine sculptures by George Wyllie. This work was for many years a fixture in the Dolpin Bar in Dunoon. It was recently exhibited at The Mitchell Library in Glasgow in a retrospective exhibition entitled 'In Pursuit of The Question Mark' curated by his daughter Louise Wyllie. The whereabouts of Bumper Fish, formerly of The Bay Hotel in Gourock, is unknown.
