An impressive twin handled silver trophy
by Omar Ramsden & Alwyn Carr, London 1917
The stepped flaring circular foot with pierced gallery extending to a section of four cast female figures set around the circumference issuing the central tapering column culminating in a shallow everted circular upper rim, the trumpet shaped pull off lid with stylised acanthus gallery to the rim and pineapple finial, the sinuous handles with angular top, of allover hammered finish and engraved to one side with presentation inscription, the other with crest and motto and gilt interior, height 53cm, weight 77oz.
