A sapphire necklace and two sapphire bangles
The necklace of two-row design, the frontispiece set with slightly graduated oval-cut sapphires, the back-chain of belcher-link design, length of shortest row 46cm, together with two sapphire bangles of oval hinged form, each set with a row of slightly graduated oval-cut sapphires, inner widths 54mm, the sapphires estimated to weigh approximately 77.82cts in total, accompanied by a certificate from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory (# 06958) dated 6 January 2013, stating that the three sampled sapphires show no indication of heat treatment and one is of Burmese origin

    Acquired from the actress Lena Yeung by the current owner's mother when she lived in Hong Kong. Born in Burma, Lena Yeung grew up in Shanghai, China where she worked in film. Fleeing with her family to Hong Kong just after the end of World War II, she continued her acting career there until the mid 1960s.
