Footnotes
Archie Brennan was resident designer and artistic director at the Dovecot Studios between 1962 and 1978. The present work appears to have been a private commission for Dr. Hilda Mary Capes, one of the early pioneers of child psychiatric practice in England. Included in the sale are letters of correspondence from Archie Brennan to Mary Capes.
