converted to a letter box
Of cylindrical form, the moulded top with later acorn finial above a cupboard and a drawer, with gilt-metal carrying handles to each side, raised on cabriole legs, alterations24.5cm diameter (9.5 inches), 60cm high (23.5 inches).

  • The teestoof was invented in the late 18th century and was a prestigious piece of furniture at the time. The stove originally had a zinc liner and the drawer was used for warm coals.
