A George II jappaned longcase clock

The 12 inch arched brass dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring enclosing a subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, within a matted centre, the arch with strike/silent dial, all within pierced foliate scroll spandrels, the twin train movement striking a bell, (the strike/silent dial not currently engaged), within a pagoda shaped hood applied with gilt finials above an arched trunk door, decorated with chinoiserie scenes, on a box base, base reduced in height, 219cm high.
