A William and Mary walnut and marquetry longcase clock
inscribed John Billic (recorded London 1687-1699)
The engraved square brass dial with pierced gilt spandrels enclosing a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the twin train movement striking a bell within a pagoda shaped hood surmounted by three giltwood urns, above a marquetry inlaid trunk door with a crown glass viewing aperture, on box base and later moulded plinth, alterations to the hood, 242cm high.
