The 13 inch painted arched dial with portrait of Victoria and The British fleet to the arch and figures emblematic of the Union to each corner, enclosing a white dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary date and month dials, the twin drive train movement striking a bell, within a swan neck hood with rosewood inlay, above a panel trunk door and box base, lacking bracket feet, 204cm high.
