A waterline model of the Passenger ferry PS Eagle lll 1910
Built by J Garven Wood in 1999. Composite hull, painted black to the waterline with decorated paddle boxes, white superstructure and cream decks. Details include open bridge with wheel and binnacle, passenger benches and ship's boats on davits. Set on a painted, moulded sea in an acrylic case. 34x10x12ins. (87x25x31cm)

Footnotes

  • Built by Napier & Miller, Kilpatrick, for Buchanan Steamers Ltd. Used on the Glasgow - Rothesay service, she was requisitioned in WW1 as a minesweeper and again in WW2, when she went to Dunkirk. Instead of returning to service she was used as an accommodation ship at Holy Loch and was scrapped in 1946.
