    Provenance
    This ring was gifted to Countess Elena Bobrinsky by her husband William Clarke Riehle. Countess Elena Bobrinsky (1914-1996) was the daughter of Princess Vera Galitzine (1878-1967) and Count Lev Alexeievich Bobrinsky (1878-1922). The Galitzines are one of the main princely families of Russia. The Bobrinsky's are a Russian noble family descending from Catherine the Great.
