A collection of silver, paste and gem-set jewels, mainly 19th century
Comprising: an elaborate silver longchain; a colourless paste pendant; a pink paste cross; a pair of purple paste pendent earrings; a silver bracelet; a green paste and imitation seed pearl peacock brooch; a pair of turquoise and gem-set earrings; a purple paste brooch; a pair of damaged seed pearl earrings; a heavy silver, copper and colourless paste brooch; a colourless paste and gilt metal longchain (11)

Footnotes

  • All listed in Gladys's inventory except for the pink paste cross, the purple paste earrings and the purple paste brooch. In Diana Holman Hunt's memoirs Edith says "this bird is very pretty but it's the setting that appeals, although the silver gets tarnished", presumably referring to the peacock brooch.
