An opal and diamond pendant necklace, circa 1890
Designed as a flowerhead, centrally-set with an oval cabochon opal, within an openwork of rose and old brilliant-cut diamonds, suspending a detachable pear-shaped cabochon opal surmounted by similarly-cut diamonds of foliate detail, to a later trace-link chain, mounted in silver and gold, diamonds approx. 1.15ct total, lengths: pendant 6.0cm, chain 34.5cm
