A silver gilt, pearl and garnet necklace and pendant, first half of the 19th century
The collar necklace designed as series of stylised vine leaves alternating with ribbon bows, set throughout with vari-cut garnets and seed pearls, each ribbon bow suspending a pearl drop in an engraved collet, the similarly-set girandole brooch with baroque pearl and pear-shaped garnet drops, mounted in silver gilt, closed-back settings throughout, pendant converted from a stomacher/brooch, garnet pendants probably later, several seed pearls deficient, one necklace link broken, lengths: necklace 38.0cm, brooch width 8.5cm, tooled leather case (2)
