Footnotes

  • The sitter, Jasper Radcliffe (1635-1704), was the only son of Jasper Radcliffe of Exeter (1584- 1675) and Mary Franklyn. He married Jane, 3rd daughter of Solomon Andrew of Lyme Regis, in 1673 and they had five sons and eight daughters.
