Republic Period, circa 1930
Fitted with a wood cover carved with archaistic taotie mask designs and surmounted by a jade lion-dog finial, Qing Dynasty, the vessel with twin upright handles and with a band of pale green guilloché enamel on a key pattern ground and archaistic dragons spaced by plain roundels in relief above ancient text in blue enamel, raised on plain supports, maker marked. 25cm (9 7/8in) high including cover, silver weight 800g (25.8oz) (2).
