A rare cloisonné enamel 'prunus and bamboo' bottle vase
Incised Jingtai four-character mark, 16th/17th century
The pear-shaped bottle enamelled with twisting branches of prunus issuing white and red blossoms, intertwined with aubergine bamboo shafts issuing dark green bamboo leaves beside Lake Tai rockwork above the stepped foot, the slender neck enamelled with cascades of small white beads set with larger red, yellow and blue pearls and flanked by handles of crouching gilt chilong with long curling tails. 24.8cm (9¾in) high
