Two inside-painted crystal snuff bottles
One bottle signed Meng Zishou, cyclically dated gengxu year (AD 1910); the other signed Shouben, cyclically dated jiachen year (AD 1904)
The flattened circular bottle vividly painted with a carp surrounded by red and black fan-tailed goldfish among aquatic plants, the reverse in a similar setting, inscribed at the top left, tourmaline stopper with a pearl finial, 5.4cm (2in) high; the other finely depicted with an elegant spotted deer turning its head to the right, standing beside stalks of bamboo, the reverse with an ox standing on a river bank surrounded by a mountainous landscape, 5.9cm (2 1/3in) high.
