The sloping top with brass plate, inscribed V.R., above a glazed compartment with presentation plaque inscribed 'Presented to Deramore on his marriage by the teachers and day scholars of Heslington School, July 15th 1897', 27.5cm wide x 21cm deep x 40cm high.
