A mid 19th century rosewood case bracket clock by T Jones Sydney
the top with glass panel and stepped pediment above a black enamel Roman chapter and signature 'T Jones Sydney' on a finely engraved floral ground, the movement with twin chain fusee, striking on the hour and with pull repeat, 32cm high.
Note: Timothy T. Jones & Son was established in 1853 at 330 George Street, Sydney and was listed in Sands' Directory of 1863 as "Watchmaker, Manufacturing Jeweller and Optician. Importer of English and French clocks, watches, jewellery". It's presumed that stock was imported from it's parent company T. Jones of Ludgate Hill, London.
