The Fishermen #2, 1925, depicts the rugged and rough-hewn figures Selden Connor Gile observed in his daily life in Belvedere, California. The men are occupied with the task of fishing at the water's edge. The figures, small building, and pier are painted with similarly energetic brushstrokes.
