Representing a gentleman and a woman in 18th century dress, the gentleman incised with the number 87, the woman with 136, each with a parcel giltwood pedestal base.

  • Please note that each sculpture is inscribed "GOSSIN Fre PARIS." Gossin Freres denotes the collaboration between Etienne Gossin (d. 1900) and Louis Gossin, who exhibited at the Paris Salons of 1877, 1882 and 1886, winning gold medals at the last two.
