Qing dynasty, Guyue xuan seal mark, circa 1770-1799
Of compressed ovoid form rising from a concave foot to a cylindrical neck, the exterior delicately enamelled with a scene of flowering plants including peony, narcissus, peach blossoms and rose beneath a floral scroll at the neck, all brilliantly enamelled in striking colours of pink, yellow, green, brown, violet and black on a dark coffee ground, the base incised with indistinct three-character gu yuexuan seal mark.
