A moulded porcelain 'bajixiang' snuff bottle
Qing dynasty, 1790-1820
Of flattened ovoid form, with a flat lip and concave, oval foot, the body reticulated on the exterior and skilfully pierced with the eight auspicious Buddhist emblems on a wispy background, all framed between ruyi-heads and keyfret scroll at the top and bottom, the glaze crackled and of a creamy-white tone, the inner body covered with a thick layer of glaze.
