Of compressed rectangular form with gently curved shoulders surmounted by a slightly flared cylindrical neck, the interior finely painted with a continuous scene of three ducks splashing around and three additional birds resting in a lotus pond.

- Yan Yutian (active 1894-1919), is believed to be a Manchu, but little is known of his life. His painting style, however, was very distinguished, drawing without contour line.. 1918年 閻玉田 玻璃內畫荷塘水鴨鼻煙壺
壺呈扁瓶形，圓肩，橢圓形足圈。通景畫荷塘水鴨及水鳥，自由自在，取沒骨法繪畫，用色淡雅，墨葉橘花，上題「戌午(1918)玉田閰氏作」，下畫「玉田」白文隨形印。
閻玉田(活躍於1894-1919)，傳滿洲人，現今的資料對其生平不詳，但其個人風格鮮明，多以沒骨法繪畫，書法比較弱，其他通景畫荷塘水鴨鼻煙壺例子可參考莫士撝, Victor Graham 及曾嘉寶著，《A Treasury of Chinese Snuff Bottles: The Mary and George Bloch Collection 》，第4冊，第二部份，頁468-469，編號617。
