Qing dynasty, 1730-1840 Of compressed pear-shape form, rising from a circular footring to a cylindrical neck, of a rich egg-yolk yellow. 5.9cm high.
In the early Qing period, the colour bright yellow was designated to be used in court only. However, there were no strict decrees banning the public from producing yellow coloured glass outside of the court. For example, among glass objects given to the Governor of Suzhou from the Court, there were ten small yellow dishes. For further information and a similar example, see Moss, Graham and Tsang, A Treasury of Chinese Snuff Bottles: The Mary and George Bloch Collection, Vol.5, Glass, Hong Kong, 2002, pp.130-131, no.698. Compare also another uncarved bright yellow glass example, illustrated by Moss, Graham and Tsang, The Art of the Chinese Snuff Bottle： The J & J Collection, New York, 1993, p.571, no.339. For another comparable example from the Qing Court collection, preserved in the Palace Museum, Beijing, see The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum 47, Snuff Bottles, Hong Kong, 2003, p.67, pl.105.
另一個明黃光素例子，可參考莫士撝, Victor Graham 及曾嘉寶著，《The Art of the Chinese Snuff Bottle： the J & J Collection》，紐約，1993，頁571，編號339。
