  清 1750-1850 孔雀石葫蘆形鼻煙壺
  
  孔雀石天然紋理呈平衡弧線，翠綠色地中帶暗綠色紋理，壺呈葫蘆形，長頸，葫蘆略偏，平底，葫蘆中間繞有帶子一條，在帶子結上有一小洞，故此壺既在站立，又可繫上繩子掛起來，是一個簡單但細心的設計。
  
  孔雀石為水合鹼式碳酸銅，俄羅斯的烏拉爾山脈可能是孔雀石的主要來源，但中國境內如廣東、湖北、江西、內蒙古、甘肅、西藏、雲南等地方也是銅磺產地。
  
  傳世的孔雀石鼻煙壺為多素面，如本壺般雕成具象的鼻煙壺比較少，浮雕例子見莫士撝，《Snuff Bottles of China》，倫敦，1971，頁91，圖版118，唯該壺紋飾複雜，孔雀石天然紋理較本壺深色。
