A famille-rose moulded porcelain 'lions' snuff bottle
Jiaqing iron-red four-character mark and of the period
The finely moulded body skilfully reticulated, the outer decoration of a group of nine recumbent Buddhist lions depicted frolicking with brocade balls, finely enamelled with a band of archaistic design and ruyi scrolls around the neck and the base.
6.5cm high.

    清嘉慶 瓷胎粉彩模製九獅戲球鼻煙壺 礬紅「嘉慶年製」篆書方款

    壺扁瓶形,短頸,口沿微撇,壺口微鼓鎏金,溜肩,橢圓圈足,近足處飾如意雲頭紋,頸部塑迴紋及如意紋一周,壺身塑九頭小獅互相嬉戲爭奪五繡球,小獅神態各異,憨態可掬。壺頸、肩、壺身小獅及繡球均以彩釉裝飾,壺身又以白色卷雲紋為地,色彩對比使畫面更具立體感。壺底書礬紅「嘉慶年製」四字篆書方款。
