Of shield form rising from a ruyi- shaped foot to a flared neck flanked by chi dragon handles, both sides carved with a shou character amongst chrysanthemums and leafy sprays, further encircled by a ring of butterflies.

日本 1868-1920 黃銅模菊花壽字紋鼻煙壺
黃銅模菊花壽字紋鼻煙壺呈扁吊瓶形，左右飾螭龍耳， 上有小洞，相信是用來串線作吊之用，中間開光，模有菊花壽字紋，製造規整。
另一件黃銅模鼻煙壺，雖只飾有菊花紋，但整體造形與本壺如出一轍，見Bob Stevens,《Snuff Bottles》, 紐約, 1976年, 頁218, 圖版812。又見Robert Hall，《Chinese Snuff Bottle IV》，倫敦，1991，頁6，編號6，此書作者認為此類鼻煙壺，只短時間製作於日本明治時代(1868-1912)或以後，很有可能是出口至中國的。
