An inside-painted glass 'horses and boats' snuff bottle
Sun Xingwu, circa 1897-1899
The semi-translucent body of compressed rectangular form with gently curved shoulders surmounted by a cylindrical neck, the interior painted with a continuous scene of figures in front of a city entrance on one side, the reverse with a fisherman sailing a sampan on a pond, all against a mountainous backdrop, inscribed with signature and seal mark of the artist.
