A triple overlay glass 'boats amidst swirling waves' snuff bottle
Attributed to Yangzhou, circa 1780-1850
Of flattened pear-shaped form, intricately carved through the layers of lemon-yellow, emerald-green and cinnabar-red with a continuous scene of a fisherman on a sampan amongst raging waves and crescent moonlight, the reverse with a deity paddling a naturalistic raft on a lotus pond under the sun.
