• According to Clare Lawrence, 'An Analysis of the Seal School Group of Glass Snuff Bottle', Journal of the International Snuff Bottle Society\, Summer 1993, p.5., there are approximately twenty examples of the multiple-layered glass snuff bottle examples that were available for study. A closely related triple overlay glass snuff bottle, also utilising a cinnabar-red layer against a yellow ground, illustrated by John Gilmore Ford, Chinese Snuff Bottles from the Edward Choate O'Dell Collection, Baltimore, 1982, no. 136, was sold at Sotheby's New York, The Joe Grimberg Collection, 14 September 2010, lot 18.
  
  約1780-1850 (傳)揚州 藕粉地套三色玻璃漁人朝暮圖鼻煙壺
  
  壺呈扁瓶形，直口滑肩，橢圓形圈足。藕粉地套黃、綠及紅色玻璃，一面描繪了一人坐在樹幹上渡江，旁長了荷花，另一面描繪了一漁家背對著撐船，往樓閣去。壺的正背面飾有太陽和月亮，表示出漁人日出而作，日入而息的生活，題材生活化。
  
  雕製套三色玻璃要求高技巧，是一件不簡單的作品，因此是少數的揚州作坊類別，根據Clare Lawrence 1993年的研究，大約只有20件如本壺般套三色鼻煙壺可作研究，而這種顏色的組合，是一種典型，另一種典型是奶白地套黃、紅、綠玻璃，見Clare Lawrence著,〈An Analysis of the Seal School Group of Glass Snuff Bottle〉一文，載於《JICSBS》 1993年夏季刊，頁5。另一件與本壺套色一致，同是以藕粉地套黃、綠及紅色玻璃鼻煙壺的例子，可參見John Gilmore Ford著，《Chinese Snuff Bottles from the Edward Choate O'Dell Collection》，摩港市，1982，編號136，後拍賣於紐約蘇富比，Joe Grimberg 鼻煙壺專場，2010年9月14日，拍品編號18。
