Two turquoise-ground porcelain snuff bottles
Qing dynasty, 1780-1820
One of compressed meiping form, moulded in relief with a gilt dragon in flight above another amidst turbulent waves, the foot unglazed; the other painted with various enamels with two scholars walking in a landscape, the reverse with poetry within a cartouche, the base with apocryphal Qianlong four-character mark in blue enamel, both with stippled turquoise ground.
