The bottle of compressed globular form supported on an ovoid foot, intricately engraved and filled with black pigment with a wondrous landscape and minute inscription, the reverse with 'lucky' long-tailed birds by a river and additional inscription, the shallow circular dish similarly decorated.

- Yu Shuo (1873-?), art name Xiao Xuan, specialised in painting and calligraphy, and could carve thirty to forty lines of calligraphy on an ivory framework of a folding fan which was only a quarter of an inch thick. Another ivory snuff dish carved by Yu Shou, and dated 1914, incised on one side with landscape and the reverse with calligraphy, illustrated by Moss, Graham and Tsang, A Treasury of Chinese Snuff Bottles: The Mary and George Bloch Collection, Vol.7, pp.218-222, no.1556, and sold in these rooms, 28 November 2011, lot 167.
1904年 于碩 象牙刻山水圖鼻煙壺及煙碟
壺呈扁瓶形，直口，橢圓形圈足。一面刻山水圖，崖壁上有亭樓，下繪山林小屋，上題詩文一段，下款為「于碩題」，另一面刻一喜鳥在水中嬉戲，一喜鳥在岸上對望，上題「層層見喜。甲辰(1904)蘭月。江都嘯軒于碩。」煙碟呈圓形，邊緣微向上揚，淺圓形圈足，上刻一河兩岸，上題「秋江晚渡。江都嘯軒于碩。」
于碩(1873-?)，字嘯軒，工書畫，能於寬三分許之像牙扇骨上，刻小行楷三四十行，非顯微鏡不能晰。其他刻于碩款象牙煙碟，可見瑪麗及莊智博藏品，該碟呈薄圓柱形，兩面微凹，一面刻山水圖，一面刻字，見莫士撝, Victor Graham 及曾嘉寶著，《A Treasury of Chinese Snuff Bottles: The Mary and George Bloch Collection 》，第7冊，頁218-222，編號1556，後拍賣於香港邦瀚斯，瑪麗及莊智博鼻煙壺珍藏：第四部份，2011年11月28日，拍品編號167。
