Footnotes

  • Lee Pennington, otherwise known as Eelus, lists his passions as disgusting horror movies, poorly executed taxidermy, alien conspiracies and French Bulldogs. Wigan born, but now based in the bohemian and distinctly artistic UK seaside town of Brighton, Eelus' work is infused with a sense of the strange and uncanny, and is often humorously surreal if not downright disturbing. Eelus took part in the famous Cans festival on London's South Bank, creating a large scale stencil wall work which stood alongside creations by some of the biggest names in the Urban Art world. He works both solo and as part of the Freak Show Projects, an innovative studio and commercial space founded to promote his art and various other creative endeavors.
