Revok was brought up in Los Angeles, and cites his father's collection of 60s and 70s album covers, comic books and skateboarding with inspiring his interest in art. It was in his local suburb of Riverside that he first became involved in graffiti over two decades ago. Although he initially built a reputation for his fast-paced lettering style in the city, it wasn't long before Revok took his work further afield, initially to US cities including Atlanta and Miami, later to more distant locations in China, South Korea and Japan. Revok's inclusion in high-profile museum exhibitions, including MOCA's seminal Art in the Streets and the Pasadena Musuem of Contemporary Art's Street Cred, is seemingly at odds with his long standing confrontation with the forces of the law, which has resulted in many cautions, fines and arrests over the years.
