Footnotes

  • With a family tree which allegedly includes a number of saints and members of various European royal dynasties, Pure Evil is perhaps the most blue-blooded Urban artist working today. He first discovered street art during a decade spent in California, where he designed for influential streetwear clothing company Anarchic Adjustment. Now a well known figure in London's East End, from where he runs his own eponymous gallery, Pure Evil promotes both his own work and that of many of his contemporaries with regular exhibitions and events both in the UK and internationally. His paintings often include his signature Pure Evil Bunny logo, while his Nightmare series channel Andy Warhol and add a touch of Dada darkness.
